Enamel and dried hydrangea / Smalt a sušená hortenzia

Nuž, túto smaltovanú misku som prekladala z miesta na miesto už od leta. Vtedy som ju našla v našom 100 - ročnom humne. Bola celá špinavá, hrdzavá a deravá. A v žiadnom prípade nepôsobila pekne. Ale bola smaltovaná a preto dostala druhú šancu. Pozrite a posúďte sami...

Well, I had moved this enamel dish from place to place since last summer. I found it in our 100 - year old barn. It was all dirty, rusty and leaky - pretty not at all. But it was enameled and therefore I`ve given a second chance to it. Look and say what you think...

Využila som, čo bolo doma - sušenú hortenziu. Myslím, že sa kombinácia podarila.

I used what was at home - dried hydrangea. I think the combination is kind of charming.

Pomaly sa mi rozširuje aj zbierka ľanových utierok - tu s červeným pruhom...

Fotila som dnes a konečne sa mi podarilo urobiť niekoľko pekných záberov našej kuchyne. Rozhodla som sa ich dať však do ďalšieho príspevku. A tak nebudete musieť dlho čakať!

In a spring mood / V jarnej nálade

Je skutočne január? Vôbec sa mi nezdá. Hlavne počas teplých slnečných dní, kedy teplota vystúpi dokonca nad 5 stupňov Celzia. V záhrade mi začali pučať všetky hortenzie a zo zeme už vyliezajú hyacinty a narcisy. Nechcem sa sťažovať, aspoň môžem dokončiť projekt z leta... preto už druhý víkend brúsim a natieram skriňu do spálne. Veľmi sa na ňu teším...

Is it really January? I don`t feel it this way at all. Especially during the warm sunny days when the temperature rises even above 5 degrees Celsius. All the hydrangeas started to sprout and the hyacinths and daffodils are coming out of the earth in my garden. Though I don`t want to complain, at least I can finish a project from last summer... so I spent a second weekend with a cupboard makeover. I`m looking forward to it...

V tomto ročnom období si väčšinou každý týždeň kupujem čerstvé kvety. Tentoraz som zvolila margarétky...

This time of year, I usually buy fresh flowers each week. I chose daisies this time...

Začiatkom roka som mala meniny, konečne som si kúpila nákupný košík. Momentálne ho však využívam v interiéri... už sa neviem dočkať prvých jarných dní :-)

In Slovakia, we celebrate name day. At the beginning of the year I celebrated mine and I finally bought a market basket. However, I use it indoors for now... I can`t wait the first days of spring to start :-)

Na záver ešte niekoľko fotiek margarétok v obývačke. Myslím, že v mojej zbierke tyrkysových vintage fľašiek vyzerajú veľmi milo...

At the end of this post I show you more of the daisies from the living room. I think that they look very nicely in my collection of turquoise vintage bottles...

Opäť trochu červenej! Stále viac a viac myslím na odtieň červených malín. Cabbages and Roses tak nazývajú svoj odtieň červenej, ktorá sa neskutočne hodí k bielej.

Again, a bit of red! I`m thinking more and more about the shade of raspberries. Cabbages and Roses call their shade of red, which is so incredibly suited to white.

Rozmýšľam, že si zadovážim nové vankúše...
